Amazon Fire TV Announced; Packs A Quad-Core CPU With 2GB of RAM

Today Amazon Announced its Fire TV which will compete against the Apple TV and many others. Amazon Fire TV is a tiny box which allows you to connect it to HDTV and can enjoy Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, low-cost movie rentals, and much more.

Amazon Fire TV packs many features which allows you to taste the many recognised video services worldwide. Hardware wise Amazon Fire TV consists a quad-core CPU with 2GB of RAM, a dual-antenna Wi-Fi with MIMO support and 1080p support through HDMI or optical. Also in order to give you without break or pause entertainment it is packed with a dedicated Adreno 320 graphics engine.

Software wise it is running on Fire OS which is built on Android Operating System. You can stream popular Video Services along with the all your favorite subscriptions and streaming services with Amazon’s massive selection of digital content. Watch over 200,000 TV episodes and movies, rent videos from just 99 cents, or kick back with your favorite sports, news, music, and games. Further there are also many features like an X-Ray feature that gives you details on the movies you are watching via your Fire HDX tablet. There’s even a ”FreeTime Unlimited” mode that gives you content from Nickelodeon, PBS Kids and plenty of other free stuff.
