Asus has launched the Fonepad 8 voice-calling tablet in India. Device is priced at Rs.13, 999. Device was initially announced in June 2014. however the company said nothing about its availability in other stores but device is available for sale on flipkart .
The FonePad 8 has an 8-inch LED screen with IPS. and has 1200 x 800 pixels resolution. The FonePad 8 is powered with a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of on board storage. Memory is expandable to 64GB via microSD card. It runs Android v4.4 (Kit Kat) OS.
The tablet includes a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera which enables the users to have good quality photos.
Talking about the design, according to a report, Fonepad 8 has a 5.06mm bezel and 72.2 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
Other features apart from 3G connectivity includes dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. It also has dual front speakers for better sound quality while playing videos. The battery has a power of 4000mAh which Asus claims provides up to 12 hours of usage on videos or browsing the web, and 21 hours of 3G talk time.
