Google Publishes February Security Update Images

Well, HTC, LG and Huawei have rolled out January security update to their flagships last week and yea Samsung too. Now, they seems to be too late as some of the users of these big manufacturers still didn’t get any update and Google has pushed security update for the month of February.

Today, Google published factory images on its official Developer for its February security update for the Nexus 5, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player. The update comes with a patch for the extremely frustrating bug which drops calls when certain applications are opened in the multitasking view, as well as a plethora of stability improvements and speed optimizations.

An update to the Minikin library addressed a possible Denial of Service vulnerability as well.

As always, Google claims there are no reports of active customer exploitation using the issues that have been reported and patched in this update.

Nexus users who want to flash this update now can head to the Google Developer site and grab the latest release for flashing.
