Lenovo Announced ThinkPad X1 Carbon UltraBook for CES 2015

Lenovo unveiled 8 ThinkPad laptops along with ThinkPad stack accessories at CES 2015 to be held in Las Vegas. With its ThinkPad accessories, Lenovo is trying to eliminate the complexity of charging multiple devices, handling wiring system when multiple devices are all needed at same time. Company also introduced its ThinkVisoin x24 monitor along with ThinkPad Laptop series and ThinkPad stack accessories.

LENOVO THINKPAD LAPTOPS

ThinkPad X1 carbon ultra-book is a flagship in ThinkPad series by Lenovo. Company claims this ultra-book as world’s lightest 14 inch ultra-book weighting under 2.9 pounds. Device has PCIe solid state drive whose storage performance is 80% faster than normal SSD’s. Ultrabook runs on 5th generation Intel Core processor and has Full HD display.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available by January 2015 and its models will start at $1249.

Lenovo’s 12.5 inch laptop that weighs 2.8 pounds and is 0.8 inches thick, ThinkPad X250 is also a flagship ultrabook in ThinkPad series. ThinkPad X250 will be available in February 2015 and its models will start at $1,149.

ThinkVision X24 monitor was also introduced by the company which has ultra thin IPS Panel. Monitor comes with a Neo Blade 23.8 inch panel which is 7.5mm thick and has pre coated metal technology. Monitor gives Full HD resolution and 178 degree viewing angle.

Thinkvision X24 models will start at $249 and will be available by April 2015.

ThinkPad 450 series have four laptops – T450s, T450, E450, and L450. The T450s  and T450 are 14-inch laptops. T450s is a Power Bridge compatible notebook for extending the battery life when needed.  The L450 is also a 14-inch laptop with no touch screen option (while others do have touch available). It is thick and relatively heavy than others. All of these ThinkPads will be available in February 2015.

ThinkPad T450s and T450  models will start at $1,099 and $849, however ThinkPad L450  starts at $699.
Lenovo  T550 is configurable with either a 15.6-inch display or a 15.5-inch high-resolution display  which makes it compatible for users who look for quite large screens. It comes with up to 16GB of memory, up to a TB of HDD (or 512GB SSD).This  laptop is 0.88 inches thick and weighs around 5 pounds and hence is quite compatible for mobility purposes. ThinkPad T550 models are priced to start at $999, and  will be available in February 2015.

Coming to ThinkPad’s E series, the E550 and the E450. E550 has 15.6-inch display while E450 is a 14-inch screen model. E series laptops does not offer any touch screen model. These models can be configured with up to 1 TB of HDD or 128GB of SSD. The E550  weighs 5.2 pounds and is 0.94 inches thick whereas model E450 weighs 4 pounds and is 0.87 inches thick . E series laptops will be available in February 2015 and these models are priced at  $599 .

THINKPAD STACK ACCESSORIES

In ThinkPad stack accessories , company has announces four modules. These four models can be used separately  i.e on at a time and also all modules at same time can also be used by stacking them together. When stacked together, these devices share data and power with each other.

  • ThinkPad Stack 10,000 mAh power bank priced at $49.99.
  • Wireless access point for sharing 4G  mobile connection.
  • 1TB Hard Drive with USB 3.0 port

Wireless access point and 1TB Hard Drive Kit are priced at $199.99.
