LINE, an instant messaging service from Japan now has about 400 million registered users. The company had hit the 300 million mark back in November. But a interesting point is that, there is a difference between registered users, and active users.
Off course the company did not reveal the number of active users they have currently. Also to state the facts, according to the company it now has over 10 Million users from about 10 Countries, including the United States. Also they stated that their highest record has been about 10 billion messages sent in a single day.
LINE’s CE sadi that the company has been aiming for 500 million users this year. And the instant meesenger is proving to be really tough competition for Viber, which was recently acquired by Rakuten, a firm from Japan.
