Samsung Says That It’s Next Smartphones Will have 64 bit Processor

Well, the launch of the new iPhone 5S with the new powerful chip A7 with 64 bit architecture did storm the entire mobile industry, not only they did an wonder by putting a 64bit in a phone which is mostly used in servers and highly powered machines but they also have managed to put OpenGl 3.0, the same that Google used in Android 4.3.

But as you know the whole Samsung-Apple affair, Samsung didn’t took much time, and in light of the Apple iPhone 5s announcement, Samsung co-CEO and Mobile chief JK Shin has revealed that their next smartphones will come with 64-bit processing power. As usual he was talking with company’s chief executives at a weekly meet,  reports The Korea Times.

“Not in the shortest time. But yes, our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality,” Shin said. It can be said that we may see a 64 bit processing architecture in the next SGS 5 probably, as it’s the company’s next flagship phone which will hit the markets probably by next year. And we thing S5 deserves to be running a 64bit architecture.

He didn’t reveal anything furthermore about this issue or any details about Samsung and 64 bit architecture.

And in other news, in reply for Apple trying their hands on Chinese and Asian markets, he said that Samsung will expand its business in these countries to better compete with Apple. “Samsung understands that Apple intends to boost its mobile business in China, as well as in Japan, meaning that we should try harder in these countries,” JK Shin noted.
