Nividia’s Tegra Gets 5th Companion Core as 4-PLUS-1

4-Plus-1 is officially Nvidia’s new name for the Tegra 3′s fifth core as announced today via their blog. NVIDIA‘s design approach is unique in the industry in that it uses TSMC’s 40nm LPG process rather than a strict LP process like many of its competitors. To have its cake and eat it too, NVIDIA added a fifth Cortex A9 to Tegra 3 built using LP transistors (hence the LPG process, G transistors in a sea of LP). This fifth core would only be active during the lightest of workloads.

Its Rumored on ModacoForums that HTC Endeavour may be the device that HTC might launch at MWC, its not HTC Ville.  Some Specs: 4.7-inch screen with a  720p HD resolution, will run  Android Ice Cream Sandwich 8-megapixel camera  Tegra 3 based (1.5GHz Quad Core) NVIDIA Quad band HSPA+ radio This is interesting because Qualcomm is an investor in HTC, has been used nearly exclusively and it has quad-core processors of its own coming out soon. NVIDIA has been indicating that we’ll.
