Action launcher has been updated to version 2.1 with many new features, fixes and performance boosts, In actual words its a solid update to the launcher which entered into Beta with this update.
Similar to Nova launcher which added the hotword feature couple of days ago is now also a feature of Action Launcher. Users can now search on Google using “Ok Google” hotword, giving hands-free Google searches. There’s much more in the new update pack – it also includes new visualizations buried in the settings, such as the option to enable the Roboto Condensed font and controls over where text labels are displayed. .
There’s a gestures like tapping home screen will enable sleep mode, etc. Here’s the full changelog of Action launcher Beta:
- “Ok, Google” voice activation. Requires Android 4.4 or later.
- Double taping empty space on a Home screen powers the screen off.
- Option to enable Roboto Condensed.
- More fine-grained control over where icon text labels display.
- Option to disable drawing of Cover/Shutter indicators.
- Icon scale can be configured for items on Home screens, Dock, Quickpage and Folders (previously was only applied on Home screens).
- Misc. stability improvements.
