Xiaomi is making headlines these days as a lot of leaks are on the internet about the upcoming Mi A2(Mi6X) device. Today we are here again with some new information associated with Xiaomi but this time we are having some facts and figures about the Redmi S2. In case you don’t know Redmi S2, it is the next budget handset from the house of Xiaomi. Recently, the handset was spotted on TENAA which reveals some precious facts about it, so let’s check out more about the handset.
Expected Redmi S3 specs
As described by TENAA the model number of the Redmi S2 is M1803E6E, this specific listing carries almost all major information about the handset. As revealed, Xiaomi Redmi S2 comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625(64 bit) Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0Ghz. It is coupled with optional 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM along with an Adreno 506 GPU for gaming. The handset will be made available officially in storage versions of 16GB/32GB/64GB with the compatibility to use an SD-card up to 256GB’s.
As revealed by the image the handset looks similar to what we have witnessed on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi’s vertical camera setup resembles us of the one found on iPhone X. In the rear segment, it will offer a Dual 12MP+8MP Camera with PDAF, LED Flash while in the front there will be a 16MP snapper for selfies. The device will run on Android 8.1.0 Oreo and currently we are not sure whether it will run on MIUI or on Stock Android. The handset will pack features including Fingerprint Scanner, Face recognition, etc. Redmi S2 runs on a 3000mAh battery and is expected to house a mammoth 5.9(inch) HD+ IPS Display.
The handset will offer all basic features like 4G VoLte, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. It will be made available in a number of colors including Black, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold.
As disclosed in old leaks Xiaomi may soon be bringing this to Indian and Chinese market, however, the price remains unknown for now.
