Users who are using Nexus 6, we have a small update for you guys regarding the new Android 8.0. Nexus 6 has been in the market from past couple of years with it’s awesome software support by Google. Though manufactured by Motorola but under Google’s software support, it was due offical update until Android Nougat, now it will not be able to taste Oreo officially.

It is not announced that it won’t be receiving any Android updates further. But yes Google will still be sending you the monthly security patch. Google recently launched Android 8.0 Oreo with lots of new features and enhancements. Usually Google devices are the first to receive the new update. But Nexus 6 won’t get one because of Google’s policy of 18 months update program. But guys don’t be sad as we have a solution to your problem. You can easily update your Nexus 6 device on latest Android 8.0 Oreo via custom ROMS like Lineage OS 15 and AOSP ROM Port.

The AOSP ROM has been made by S.I.X a team of developers which is a near stable ROM based on Oreo. The ROM can be rooted by either SuperSU or Magisk. After, installing the new ROM you will get all the Pixel Oreo features. Further, the features like Six Boot navigation, AOSP camera, AOSP messaging, Oreo system colors, Oreo Pixel stock sounds and even Android 8.0 bar icons are also there in the Custom ROM. Talking about more options, there are many more features like gesture settings, battery light customization etc.

But for now Lineage OS 15 isn’t available, so you can prefer to use AOSP ROM port based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

If there is any further update or details, we will soon let you know.
