Android Distribution Feburuary: Kitkat And Jelly Bean Rising

In the latest figures from the Google on the basis of the last 15 days data it seems like Kitkat is taking more share on the pie chart while Jelly Bean crosses 60% mark. Currently Kitkat is contributing very less amount of share but hope it will increase in future as many OEMs are pushing out Android 4.4 Kitkat. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich fell to 16.1 percent during the survey period.

Android 3.2 Honeycomb is holding onto the 0.1 percent share that it’s had for months now, followed by version 2.3 Gingerbread and its 20 percent share of the Android pie. Finally, Android 2.2 Froyo held steady at 1.3 percent.

From the stats above we can say more and more devices are still coming on Jelly Bean and that’s the main reason for its larger space on the pie chart. Hope soon the trend will change and most OEMs would ship with Kitkat version of the Android. Check last month’s figures.
