Android One Devices Get Android 7.0 Nougat

When the Android One devices were released about two years ago, they took the world by surprise. Affordable $100 smartphones that would get the latest Android updates as early as Nexus devices. While this seemed like just a promise back then, Google has been able to deliver on that. The devices received their Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates a day after Google released the Nexus factory images and now again, Android One devices have started to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat updates.

The above screenshot, which a user captured on their Cherry Mobile G1 shows that Android One devices in Philippines have started to receive the latest update and device sin other countries should follow soon. The Update which measures 747.8 MB comes with the August security update which we think is a little outdated.
