Android, Android and Android, Today at Google Io 2014 Keynote all of the things were attached to the Android or its newer version Android L. Many of new features are launched in the new version of the open source operating system like Project Volta and Material Design.
Google previewed the developer version of Android L at the event along with announcements like Android One – a program that will set minimum standards for bargain-basement smartphones for developing markets. Sundar Pichai, Google’s head of Android and Chrome platforms, said Android One will in fact let phone-makers pool in resources to create a reference platform for smartphones, thus saving time and costs in launching new models. They’ll all be running stock Android and receive automatic updates too, though it appears that individual manufacturers will be able to add their own apps on top of that. Google’s Pichai also said he’d been using a Micromax Android One smartphone for a while now, and was really impressed, despite being used to top-end phones in daily use.
