This year saw many Non Android Devices making an impact on the market, may it be the Windows Devices, BlackBerry Devices or the old friend, Apple. So in this post we have a list of the best Alternate Smartphones and Best Alternate Tablets for you, off course alternate to Android Devices. Here are Rivals Of Android:

Smartphones:

iPhone 5s:

iPhone 5S is a pretty good device from Apple. It brings in some new features to the Apple Smartphone franchise and runs on the latest iOS 7 (Check our Android Jelly Bean 4.3 Vs iOS 7). The phone is a pretty tough competition to the leading Android Smartphones, and also wins in some areas but also loses in some.

The Apple iPhone 5S has LED Backlit IPS LDC display of about 4.0 inches with a superb resolution of about 640X1136 pixels. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 16/32/64 GB of internal memory. Also there is a 8 megapixel shooter on the back and the sensor resolution is 3264X2448, with a Dual LED flash. Video recording is at 1080p@30 fps, 720p@120 fps and the front facing camera is about 1.2 Megapixel and records videos at 720@30 fps. It has  a Dual Core 1.3 GHz processor and non removable Li-Po battery of about 1560 mAh. So if you’re not going for a Android device, the iPhone 5S would be great choice.

Lumia 1520:

Windows Phone and the Windows Platform are not at the position on which they were a couple of years ago. They have been growing steadily and firmly. And today the Windows Phone does not make up a bad platform, it is really a thing which you can definitely go with. Though it is not as brilliant as Android, but it also packs some great features, and so does the Lumia 1520. And this one is a giant, at 6 inches of IPS LCD display with a resolution of about 1080X1920 pixels with 32 GB of internal memory, and 2 GB of RAM. It has a out of the box 20 Megapixel camera, with Carl Zeiss Optics  and video recording at 1080p@30 fps  and also a secondary camera of about 1.2 Megapixel and video recording capability of 720p@30 fps. It has a powerful Quad Core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 processor and has Li-Po battery of about 3400 mAh. So as you see from the specification, the Lumia 1520 is no less, it packs the same hardware as any other leading Android Smartphone does. So definitely worth a try!

BlackBerry Q10:

Speaking honestly, I have not been a great fan of the Blackberry OS, but I hear they have some great improvements in the platform, and many more User Interface changes and many performance tweaks in BB 10 OS. So, if you are not willing to go with the above two, here is BlackBerry Q10 for you guys. The Q10 has SUPER AMOLED touchscreen display of 3.1 inches with a resolution of 720X720 pixels. Also there is a qwerty keyboard attached, as evident in most of the Blackberry phones. It comes with internal memory of about 16 GB and about 2 GB of RAM. it has a 8 Megapixel shooter on the back with a resolution of about 3264X2448 pixels, and video recording capability of 1080p@30 fps. The front facing camera has a 2 Megapixel sensor capable of recording 720p videos. It has a Dual Core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and a Li-Ion battery of about 2100 mAH. Though the device is not as powerful as the Nokia Lumia 1520, but still makes a good match of the design and performance. Also if you’re looking for more power you can look into Blackberry Z10 or Z30.

Tablets:

iPad Air:

Again if you’re looking for some Alternate to Android Tablets, Apple has yet another brilliant device for you. The iPad Air just as the Macbook Air is light as hell. It has 9.7 inches of LED Backlit IPS LCD Display, with a resolution of about 1563X2048 pixels. It comes with internal storage of 16/32/64/128 GB and also with 1 GB of RAM. It has a 5 Megapixel camera with a sensor resolution of 2592X1944 pixels  and video recording at 1080p@30 fps. A Secondary camera of about 1.2 Megapixel with 720p@30 fps video recording facility. The iPad Air runs on the iOS 7.0.4 so no bugs in the Software for sure. It has a Dual Core Cyclone CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz, and a battery of about 8,820 mAh which ensure you have sufficient power on the go. If you are always travelling, this is the device you would want to have, as it is ultra light, and has a good performance also. If not you can always check out the iPad Mini, iPad 3.

Lumia 2520:

As said above you can trust the Lumia Devices, so it goes with this Lumia Tablet. Again it packs some great hardware to challenge any other Android or iOS tablet. It has a 10.1 inches of IPS LCD screen with a display resolution of about 1080X1920 pixels It has internal memory of about 32 GB and about 2 GB of RAM. it has a primary camera of about 6.7 Megapixels with Carl Zeiss Optics and sensor resolution of 3088X1744 which too high for a tablet. It can record videos at 1080p@30 fps. It aslo has a secondary camera of about  2 Megapixels which is also capable of recording 720p videos. Coming to the CPU, it has a powerful 2.2 GHz Krait 400 processor with 4 cores., and also a giant battery of about 8000 mAh. So if you’re looking for more power on the go, this is the device to go with.
