HTC U Ultra vs OnePlus 3T vs Google Pixel XL

HTC U Ultra, launched today with Snapdragon 821 and 4GB RAM. It is the flagship device from the HTC with huge 4K 5.7 inch display. There’s one more, U Play with little less specs.

HTC U Ultra vs OnePlus 3T vs Google Pixel XL-min

Oneplus 3T launched last year, a little upgrade over OnePlus 3. It packs 16 Mp front and back camera with Snapdragon 821 processor with 6 GB of RAM.

The last one is the Google Pixel XL, launched at Google’s hardware event last year with same Snapdragon 821 Processor.

Display:

The Google Pixel XL comes with 5.5 inches inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display. HTC U Ultra have 5.7 inch Super LCD5 capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors. There is a second 2-inch secondary, 160×1040 display also on the top of main display for notifications. The pixel density of primary display stands at 513 ppi pixel density. It packs Corning Gorilla Glass 5 irrespective of Gorilla Glass 4 on other two devices.

The secondary one is of 2 inches which is used for notifications as like of LG V20.

Hardware:

All the three devices packs Snapdragon 821 processor. Google Pixel XL and OnePlus 3T uses Quad-core (2×2.35 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) processor, while HTC Ultra comes with Quad-core (2×2.15 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) processor which is little less than that of other two.

Google Pixel and HTC U Ultra packs 4GB of RAM to boost their deices. Well, OnePlus packs huge 6GB of RAM on OnePlus 3T.

Software:

The Google Pixel runs Android OS, v7.1 (Nougat) and has advantage of Google regular updates. HTC comes with Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense USer Interface on Top. There’s a Sense Companion, which is AI based mechanism which learns as you use your device.

OnePlus is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, some regions have received Nougat update and few are left.

Camera:

The Google Pixel packs 12 MP of primary camera on the rear and 8 MP secondary camera at the front for selfies. It includes 1/2.3″ sensor size, 1.55µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash. The primary camera is capable of 2160p@30fps video recording. The secondary camera is capable of 1.4 µm pixel size, 1080p video recording from the front.

OnePlus 3T Packs 16 MegaPixel rear camera and 16 MegaPixel front camera for selfies. The primary camera is capable of 2160p@30fps, 720p@120fps, Auto HDR video recording. It includes 1/2.8″ sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash.

In HTC U Ultra there’s a 12MP UltraPixel 2, 1.55-micron pixel camera with f/.1.8 with OIS. Also it features, PDAF, Laser AF, dual-tone flash 4K video with 3D audio. You can also record Slow motion 720p video at 120fps. Further there’s a 16MP camera with BSI UltraPixel code. It can also record 1080p video.

Battery and Sensors:

The Google Pixel consist of Li-Ion 3450 mAh battery capacity with Non Removable battery with fast charging capability. HTC Ultra packs Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery and OnePlus also packs Non-removable Li-Ion 3400 mAh battery. All the devices comes with Fast Charging techniques.

All the devices have Fingerprint (front-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass sensors. Google Pixel additionally have barometer also.

Currently the U Ultra is available on Pre Order from HTC’s USA website for $749 . OnePlus is available for $478 and Google Pixel also prices at $769.

Right Now if we choose winner on the basis of performance and pricing then OnePlus 3T is ahead of both. Otherwise you can choose premium devices from Google and HTC if you need some special features.
