Huawei Honor Note 8 vs Huawei P9

As we all know, there are many Flagships devices in the market. Nowadays, No one want a Flat Box device. So, today we are going to Talk about the Chinese brands which are taking over the Indian Smartphone Market. In this article, we are comparing the handsets, Huawei Honor Note 8 and Huawei P9.

General

The Huawei Honor Note 8 and Huawei P9 have exclusive and high end features. Huawei Honor Note 8 is launched in July, 2016 in China and on the other hand Honor P9 is launched from the April in China. Both the devices have different color options. Honor Note 8 device is available in White, Gold, Gray. Honor P9 is available in Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Rose Gold, Titanium Grey, Mystic Silver, Prestige Gold.

Design and Display

Both the devices have differences in display. Honor Note 8 comes with 6.6 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels at a PPI of 443. Honor P9 which have 5.2 inch IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at a PPI of 423. Honor Note 8 and Honor P9, both the devices doesn’t have any glass protection. Huawei Honor Note 8 measures 178.8 x 90.9 x 7.2 mm (7.04 x 3.58 x 0.28 in) and weighs 219 g (7.72 oz). On the other hand Huawei P9 measures 145 x 70.9 x 7 mm (5.71 x 2.79 x 0.28 in) with weighs 144 g (5.08 oz). Here’s difficult to choose one from these devices in display.

Hardware and Software

Both phones have little differences in their hardware section. Honor Note 8 comes with Android OS, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system, which boasts a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Cortex-A72 & quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53, HiSilicon Kirin 955 Processor. On the other hand Honor P9 comes with Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow) which boasts a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Cortex-A72 & quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53, HiSilicon Kirin 955 Processor. But one thing, Mali-T880 MP4 GPU is same in both the devices. Again it’s difficult both have some same features and different Android version OS.

Memory

Huawei Honor Note 8 stands with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage which can be expand up to 256GB via Micro SD card. On the other hand Huawei Honor P9 stands with 32 GB, 3 GB RAM (EVA-L19/EVA-L09)/64 GB, 4 GB RAM (EVA-L29) of RAM
and 32GB/64GB internal storage which can be expand up to 256GB via MicroSD card. Now it is up to users that what internal STORAGE and RAM they want. Honor Note 8 Wins.

Camera

Honor Note 8 packs a 13MP camera module on the rear. It can record video with 2160p@30fps resolution. Compared with Honor P9 handset, it comes with a Dual 12MP camera module on the rear. It can record video with 1080p@60fps, 1080p@30fps, 720p@120fps. As comparing to selfies camera the Honor Note 8 has 5 MP, f/2.4, LED flash and later on P9 have 8 MP, f/2.4, 1080p. So, with the quality of Primary camera Honor Note 8 wins from the Honor P9, Compared to front camera.

Battery

There is a huge difference between the battery Type on these handsets. Honor Note 8 offers Li-Po 4500 mAh capacity battery with fast charging. On second one, uses the  Li-Ion 3000 mAh capacity battery with fast charging : 44% in 30 min is present on the Honor P9. So, there is a difference in the types and capacities of battery of the devices. Honor Note 8 have much greater battery than the Honor P9.

Connectivity

Huawei honor Note 8 and Huawei P9 have some same connectivities. Honor 8 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, bluetooth v4.2, A2DP, EDR, LE, GPS with A-GPS, Radio, USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. Honor P9, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, DLNA, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, A2DP, LE, GPS  A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. Here’s difficult to choose because these devices have same connectivity options.
