Motorola Moto G5 Plus vs Nokia 6

Motorola Moto G5 plus is launched at MWC 2017 and Nokia 6 was launched earlier in January 2017. Nokia 6 is already available in China and it is becoming popular there. Moreover, Nokia has announced Nokia 6 to be available globally in its Press event at MWC 2017. Where as Moto G5 Plus will be available in India after their Launch in the country on 15th March.

Today we are going to compare both these phones. So lets see which one is better in caparison of Motorola Moto G5 Plus Vs Nokia 6.

Design

Moto G5 Plus measures 150.2 x 74 x 7.7mm, weighs 155g. Motorola has used micro USB. Motorola has even recessed fingerprint scanner. It’s certainly better-looking than the fingerprint reader on the Moto G4 Plus. The signature “M” also appears ton the rear and there is a nice curve to the back.

Motorola has given a circular shape at the bottom and top sides. There’s microphone on the bottom with speaker grill, microUSB and Audio port. Motorola has engraved the camera module on the back in a circular style which looks astonishing.

Now coming to Nokia 6 it measures 154 x 75.8 x 8.4 mm and it weighs 169g. It also has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the home button on the front panel. On Top front panel .There is a front camera on Top right side of the phone. Nokia 6 has engraved the camera at the back side in a vertical rectangular style, which makes the back panel of the phone feel like premium one.

Display

Moto G5 Plus packs IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 424 ppi. Whereas Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved display with a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The display is protected with the Gorilla Glass 3.

Hardware

Moto G5 Plus is packed with Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 and Adreno 506 GPU. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 256GB. On the other hand Nokia 6 is powered with the smaller Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and Adreno 505. But it has a 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can also be expandable up to 256 GB.

Software

Moto G5 Plus runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Nokia 6 also runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, But Nokia has promised that company will roll out the latest updates very quickly. Moreover, in case of security updates company says it will provide the latest security patches on its phones as soon as Google release those.

Camera

Moto G5 Plus offers a 12-megapixel Dual Autofocus Pixels snapper on the back and 5MP of front camera. Its worth telling you that it is the same primary camera which is used in Samsung Galaxy S7. Coming To Nokia 6 is packed with 16 MP, f/2.0 primary camera and 8 MP front camera.

Battery

Moto G5 Plus has also used similar kind of technology on its 3000 mAh. They claim that TurboPower will charge up the device for 6 hours in just 15 minutes. Where as Nokia 6 is packed with 3000 mAh BAttery.

Price

Moto G5 will be available starting in March for €199 with 2GB RAM/16GB storage across Europe and Latin America, while the Moto G5 Plus will go for $229 US for the 2GB/32GB model, and $279 for the 4GB/64GB version. In India Moto G5 coming in the month of march for the estimated price of INR 11,999 and Moto G Plus to stand out for INR 14,999.

Coming to Nokia 6 is priced at €229(₹16000, $240) in global market.

Verdict

Both the devices are very good under this price category. But we feel that Nokia 6 should be packed with Snapdragon 625, Which is packed in Moto G5 Plus. Still Nokia 6 has some plus points and moreover the phone is becoming popular in china. Nokia 6 is packed with 4GB of RAM more than of Moto G5 Plus i.e. 2GB. However, Nokia 6 looks better than Moto G5 Plus in design and it feels like premium one.

So Both the phones are having their plus points now you have to decide which one to choose.
