Android Messages, the stock messaging application on Pixel/Stock Android devices is now getting an update with a fresh look. The latest Android Messages 3.6 is live on Google Play Store, the changelog goes as follow.

- Messages has a fresh new look including a dark theme.
- Bug Fixes and performance improvements.
The Dark theme was introduced on the Android Messages within the previous release. Now, on top of it a new refreshed UI is being applied. As usual, general bug fixes and performance improvements are in tow on this release.
Another important change that is being debuted with the latest Android Messages is the Automatic Spam Detection. Though it’s not mentioned on the changelog, a report from XDA Developers points that the feature is live now, or at least gonna roll-out soon via the server-side switch. Perhaps, Google has even put-up a support page to detail how the real-time automatic spam detection works.

Download or update the Android Messages to latest v3.6 from the Google Play Store link dropped below. Since the update is taking a gradual it need not be available yet on your device. It’s not a matter of concern as in few days it’ll be arriving at your end as well.
