Google has stepped into UPI digital payments with its first-ever UPI based payment service called “Tez” in India. The speedy (Tez in Hindi) service launched today aims to provide a fast one-stop payment solution to Indian citizens. It’s available right now for both Android and iOS platforms. The app works with all major banks and Google has roped in Axis, HDFC Bank, ICICI and State Bank of India as partners for the new venture.
Like we said, the app uses UPI (Unified Payment Interface) that underlines the BHIM app and supports many regional Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. Tez makes payments hassle-free free by allowing users to pay directly from a bank account. There is no need for other wallet apps. Users just have to link their bank account to Tez and it’s done.
With Tez, Google offers “Cash Mode” with which users can send money to other Tez app users in a jiffy. All this without sharing bank details or phone numbers. It’s like the Shareit app version of digital payments.
Moreover, Google has also introduced Tez for business. This new service is for traders who can accept upto Rs 50,000 per month with the app at no additional cost or fees. Above that, banks might start charging fees. To know more, visit the source link below.
Moreover, Google also has interesting offers such as scratch cards and referral rewards for the app. With a clean interface, Tez app is truly user-friendly.
