The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were unveiled last week at ‘MadeByGoogle’ event held in San Francisco. You might have seen the new Pixel launcher that comes pre-installed on those devices. But, now it does not remain Pixel 2 exclusive anymore. The new Pixel launcher is now available for download from APKMirror and can be installed on any smartphone running Android 5.0 Lollipop or above.
The major visual change comes in the form of the new placement of the Google Search bar. The search bar is now placed at the bottom and the top is occupied by a new ‘At a Glance’ widget. The widget at the top displays your upcoming events or reminders from your Google Calendar. It also shows the weather only when location is turned ON. Further, the At a Glance widget remains in the homepage itself whereas the Google Search Bar is displayed on all the pages.
If you own a Nexus device running on Android 8.0 Oreo, you could also try the new Google Camera app as well as the new Pixel Wallpapers app. The Wallpaper app seems to crash on many devices but you could give a try. Download these new apps from below.
