Huawei starts rolling out EMUI 10 based on Android 10 on its first 5G phone, i.e. Mate 20 X 5G. It was launched back in July 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie. Now finally, the company starts rolling out EMUI 10 with Android 10 in Europe with firmware version 10.0.0.187. Moreover, the 4G variant of Huawei Mate 20 X gets the update with firmware version 10.0.0.180.
The update weighs about 4.35 GB in size that is huge. So we suggest that before you start downloading the update on your phone, make sure you are on a stable WiFi connection.
Mate 20 X 5G update is packed with some bug fixes along with Android 10, which includes fixes for Lockscreen, status bar, Notification Shade. It includes all the goodies of Android 10 which consist of a system-wide dark theme, Smart reply in all messaging apps, Enhanced location, and privacy tools, Incognito mode for Google Maps, Focus Mode, Live Caption, New parental controls, edge-edge gestures. It also supports Digital Wellbeing, which is used to set rules for the whole family.
If you’re in Europe, you will be getting EMUI 10 update anytime from now. If you did not get the update yet, don’t panic, as the update is rolling out in batches, so it will take some time to reach each and every user.
