Essential Phone will get Android 8.1 Oreo Directly

Essential Phone has rolled out Android 8.0 Oreo Beta in November last year. But Now the company says that Android 8.0 has some issues that’s why the phone will get Android 8.1 Oreo update in near future. Which also means that users will have to wait little more for the Android Oreo Update.

Android 8.1 packs with all the features of 8.0. Like Picture in Picture mode, auto fill, notification channels, new revamped settings app, new notification center and several others. Along with these features there are some more in the latest version of Android. Like Memory optimizations, performance improvement and some other fixes.

For a Reminder Essential phone is a startup smartphone company started by the man who created Android and Essential Phone is their first smartphone device. Essential Phone has very unique bezel-less design and solid build quality. The smartphone will retail for $749 in the US. It has 5.71 inch display, 4 GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 3040 mAh battery.
