Facebook today announce the “Facebook Messenger Lite” for the people with older phones and slower connections. It is the limited version of the Facebook Messenger. This lite variant of Messenger will have all the core features of the messaging, sending and receiving photos and links, and receiving stickers.
Facebook Messenger Lite weighs in at just under 10MB. As the size of the app is smaller in size so , this means Facebook has cut down some new features of standard variant of FB Messenger like chat heads, calling, location sharing, read receipts, or various other features. But Facebook officialy did not say anything about which features are not there in the Facebook messenger lite.
Messenger Lite is starting to roll out to people in Kenya, Tunisia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Venezuela. Look for Messenger Lite in other countries in the coming months. But if you don’t wanna wait then you can go to APK Mirror and install it. Have fun!
