Galaxy Note 8/S8 Enterprise Edition launched for businesses in Germany

Samsung has just launched an Enterprise Edition Galaxy Note 8, and Galaxy S8 in Germany. The company announced the launch through its official blog and also explained the reason behind this unexpected move. And before you ask, there isn’t any new hardware here. Everything has to do with software and Samsung support for the two devices.

Samsung has equipped the Enterprise Edition to help entrepreneurs cope with the Business challenges they face daily. For starters, the new package comes with not one but three years of manufacturer guarantee. Then there is the Knox Configure software that protects data from software to the hardware level. Knox Configure comes with a three-year license in the package. Samsung also promises full Enterprise Firmware OTA services for three years as well.

Samsung elaborates that with Knox Configure, users can now manage multiple devices with data security and also set up these devices via the cloud and remote access. The Enterprise Firmware OTA or E-FOTA allows users to install same firmware updates to multiple devices at the same time via an MDM system. These security updates can also be tested for compatibility before full deployment, says Samsung.

With a three-year Manufacturing guarantee, the Enterprise Editions will also get three years of security patches. The Enterprise Edition is available for sale via Tech Data Mobile.

“With the Samsung Enterprise Edition, we offer a solution package that meets the business needs of business devices in all critical dimensions: performance, security, flexible customization, and efficient management of large equipment parks. As a result, companies are well positioned for the value-adding use of mobile devices. ” said Martin Böker Director of B2B at Samsung Electronics.
