At MWC in Barcelona, Gionee launched its new flagship device- Elife S7. This device is though not the thinnest device but still managed to be as thin as 5.5 mm. This device has U-shaped skeleton. Aviation-grade alloy has been used in frames which features a stainless steel sheet with nano-molding plastic.
Elife S7 spots a 5.20-inch display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Powered with MediaTek MT6752 chipset 64-bit processor with eight 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 cores and Mali-T760 GPU, it will have 2GB RAM and 16 GB built-in storage. Smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Battery support to the device is 2,750mAh. ACL tech based 1080p display along with its dark theme reduces power consumption by 25 %. Various battery saving features has been added to this smartphone. Chipset includes a new Sensor Hub which is used to collect Sensor Data and this reduces CPU’s cycle, hence saving the battery power. All these features improved battery life by 32 %. Keeping up the pace , if used normally, phone should go on for two days. Smartphone also includes Extreme mode for emergencies, which restricts phone features and give its users a stand by of 33 hours on just 10% charge.
Gionee also claims that along with high speed of device, it also focuses on keeping device comparatively cooler. There are many cooling areas and heat radiations that help keeping running phone cool.
Camera of this device can be considered best for focusing. 13 MP rear camera manages to focus in just 300ms and is capable of capturing the shot in 500ms. Front selfie camera of device is of 8 MP.
Other features of this smartphone includes dual SIM support, GSM 2G, 3G (international and Chinese) and two 4G LTE flavors.
Gionee’s Elife S7 will be launched in Macau on March 18 and in India on April 3. Smartphone will have price tag of €400. Users will have three different color Los Angeles Black, North Pole White and Maldives Blue.
