Gmail Web to get a new UI and this is how it will look like

It has been a long time since Gmail web had a new UI or design. Finally, it is going to get a makeover in the coming weeks. The new UI brings a new sidebar to Gmail which includes  Google’s other services such as Calendar and Keep.

The new UI also brings the ability to snooze emails and make them reappear in inbox sometime later. Other features include the new sidebar like mentioned earlier which incorporates other G suite apps. Other apps can also be added to this bar by installing the respective plugins. Gmail web is also getting the smart replies functionality with this new makeover.

Further, Google will also allow users to switch between three layouts and they are default view, comfortable view, and compact view. Also, the built-in Task system of Gmail is now redesigned with a new icon for a good cause. Gmail will be also getting native offline support but that will be in June.

This new UI for Gmail on the web will be introduced through Early Adopter Program in the coming weeks. Google might even announce more about these changes at Google’s I/O 2018 which will be starting from May 8th.
