Google has updated its very own messaging app with a lot of new and exciting features. No, it is not Hangouts its the messaging app that Google had most recently released with its Artificially Intelligent personal assistant built right in. Yes, it is the Google Allo Messenger and it has been updated to a new version 14.0.
The most noticeable change in this update is that Google has replaced the undo button in the image editor with a stickers button. You can now add stickers to your images in Google Allo just like other popular messaging apps Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger or Viber.
The update has also added a new shortcut for the camera. When you click on the camera icon on the chat interface instead of opening a new full screen for capturing the image. Allo will now display a short circle like interface where you can preview the image before capturing. Of course, you can drag it to enter the full-screen layout if you prefer that. There are also other minor changes like a new handle icon while interacting with your audio clips, an option like the messages sent by your contacts and new notification channels for Android O which now suggests messages and sends notification about contact updates and reminders.
According to an APK teardown done by 9to5Google. There are also a lot of new features being added to the Allo Messenger however they are not live yet. These include a new data usage setting which shows all details about sent and received messages and media. Moreover, it includes zoom and blur effects for selfies and a settings section for the web client.
