As per the Google, they are coming with Google Maps with WiFi Mode only option. It will allow users to connect to internet only via WiFi and by not using any cellular data.
Google is going to provide users with an additional layer of security to ensure they don’t consume large amounts of cellular data while scrolling the Maps.
Some of the users are already saying that this feature has been made available. It is accessible in the settings menu of Google Maps and that it replaces the “Offline areas” option.
