According to source a new Google smart speaker that is in the works. The report states that this high-end speaker will compete with premium others like Apple HomePod (not unveiled) and Sonos Play:3. This speaker will be a new version of Google Home that features stereo speakers. The speakers are referred to as “Google Home Max“.

Now, we don’t have any pics or even specs to make this more juicy for you. But current info suggests that it will have a premium design and premium materials. However, even this info is vague and does not help in giving us any good ideas. It could mean that Google might use a metal build for them and also make them bigger.
Apart from this info, there isn’t much to go by. We also don’t know when this product will launch. But some sources says that it might be showcased on October 4 at the Pixel 2 event. That would also be better timing from Google since it will get a head start against the HomePod which will launch in December.
The Google Home Max report comes at a time when Amazon announced the second gen of Echo products all priced lower than $150.
