Google Nexus 7 now overclocked to 2 GHz, this achievement was achieved by XDA Developers member Clemsyn. He did this by using custom kernel and tripped quad-core Tegra 3 chip to the astonishing 2.0GHz, which is 700MHz beyond what the device is limited to with its stock software.
Earlier it was overclocked to 1.7 GHz and pass 7000 in Quadrant benchmarks, but this here is an entirely new level topping 8000. So now its shameful for those high end devices which are said to be powered by best hardware. Head over to the XDA Developers forum and read about getting the tablet to run at the less-aggressive 1.8GHz.
