FASTag enables auto-payment of toll taxes on highways across India. Vehicles with FASTags can simply pass-through the toll checkpoints and the amount will be auto-deducted from the owners’ dedicated E-wallet for the same. These wallets are issued by banks and popular payment apps in the country.

That said, Google Pay is the only app in India without a dedicated wallet since all the transactions are carried out through UPI. And thus, it took time for the service to add support for FASTag. Now that it’s here, users can now enjoy the benefit of adding money to their FASTag accounts easily.

First of all, if you are a Google Pay user, then update the app installed on your device to the latest version. Then, opening the app, look for FASTag under Bill Payments and tap on it. Further, go through the procedure and link your FASTag account with your Google Pay account.  Once that is done, you can now easily recharge your FASTAg wallet using UPI transaction method on Google Pay.
