Google Tasks update adds Dark Mode support and homescreen widget

Google is actively working to bring dark theme support on almost every app available on Android. After rolling out the Dark Mode support for Google Play Store, YouTube, Calendar and a lot of other apps, the search giant is finally made available for Google Tasks v1.7 for Android. There are several other changes that are part of the latest Google Tasks update.

A blanket of dark grey color is draped around the list of tasks, and a darker shade is present when a setting pop-up comes alive. It is purely as of the dark mode present on other Google Apps. Moreover, Google Tasks v1.7 brings two new home screen widgets. The primary option is for creating New Tasks easily and effectively directly from the home screen.

The other widget lists all the tasks with nifty details. It also elopes in a dark-colored theme.

The new Dark Mode is inbuilt part of Android 10. After over a decade, the technology giants are paying heed to the users’ demands. The Google Calendar app is also due to get the Dark mode support very soon via an update.

The update for Google Tasks v1.7 is already rolled out via Google Play Store.

Don’t forget to share your thoughts on the dark mode across all the major applications. Are they really useful?
