Google’s USB-C Digital to 3.5mm Headphone adapter is now available for just $9

Google’s USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter, that costs $20 is now available for $9. Firstly, rumors said that the new Google Pixel-2 devices will have no headphone port but users stood by their hopes and believed that there would be a headphone jack. As a result users were disappointed and this thing resurfaced a heated debate within the Android community. Keeping the user demands in mind and fear of losing users, Google slashed the price of USB-C to 3.55mm headphone adapter from $20 to just $9.

Unlike Google, Apple made headlines when they decided to remove the 3.5mm headphone port from iPhone, last year. They said it was done to fit an improved taptic engine, which was successful in doing what it stated i.e improving the older taptic engine.

One year later Google follows the suit and removed 3.5mm headphone port from both pixel-2 devices. This has brought loss as well as complaints for Google from its users. Many user even stated that they won’t buy the device because there is no headphone port in it. While other users don’t mind the dongle solution as there is an official accessory in the Google Store for those who want to use their USB Type-C port as 3.5mm headphone adapter.

The price for this dongle was $20 when it was introduced in the Google Store. The iPhone users also had to pay $20 for the same until apple reduced the price to $9 which was almost a year ago.  The user’s supposed that the price reduction was temporary, but the Apple Store still has the $9 price tag  for its USB-c to 3.5mm Headphone adapter with its 1.5-star rating from user reviews.

On the other hand Google has no reviews for the adapter but they too slashed the price of  $20 USB-C Digital to 3.5 mm headphone adapter down to $9. The Google’s Google store To’s page says that they honor price reductions for 15 days for their “devices,” it is not clear if this dongle is included in that rule or not.

So if you have purchased it within the last 15 days then you should send an email to the support staff of Google Store and see if you can get the discount or not.
