Finally HMD Global Starts rolling out Android Security patch for the month of April on Nokia 1. Recently Nokia 8, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 (2018) updated to the April Security Patch. The update is currently rolling out in India.
The update weighs around 142.6 MB, which includes the performances improvements. Along with the April security Patch which includes the fixes for a critical security vulnerability in Media framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.
As this update is rolling out over the air So, it might take some time to reach every Nokia 1 unit. You can also check the update manually in case you did not get the update notification. You can check it my going through the settings>> About the phone>>software update.
Do connect to the Wifi network before downloading to avoid data charges. As this is a large update also charge your phone upto 50% at least. However, HMD starts rolling out Android Oreo update to its Nokia 8 and Nokia 6 (2018) yesterday.
