HMD Global and ZEISS have come along to lead Nokia smartphones to an all new level in the camera segment. Not very long ago, Nokia partnered with Zeiss to feature its big-time camera technology on some of the previous Nokia phones. To be named specifically, Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 1020 with their brilliant cameras made their presence felt in the smartphone industry.
A recent tweet indicates that an upcoming Nokia smartphone will feature dual-camera setup which will be the first product resulting from the partnership. Today, smartphone cameras have come a long way and it will be interesting to see both the companies come together to offer something new and exciting for the users.
According to rumors surfacing online, Nokia 9 could be the first smartphone to boast Dual-Lens camera with Zeiss sensors. Nokia 9 is to be released shortly and if the rumors hold true, the smartphone with Zeiss branding on its camera module may shake up the things again.
Arto Nummela, CEO, HMD Global said “Collaborating with ZEISS is an important part of our commitment to always deliver the very best experience for our customers. Our fans want more than a great smartphone camera, they want a complete imaging experience that doesn’t just set the standard but redefines it. Our fans expect it and, together with ZEISS, we’re delivering it – co-developed imaging excellence for all.”
HMD Global and Zeiss reunion is definitely a great news for all Nokia fans and could be the most important factor in Nokia’s re-emergence.
