Honor 8 Pro and Honor 9 starts getting Android Oreo Officially

Huawei starts rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo Update to its Honor 8 pro and Honor 9. Both the phones are released back in 2017. People were waiting fro this update which is now rolling out. Both Phones are launched with Android 7.1 Nougat based EMUI 5.1 Out of the box.

The Update weighs around 2.8 GB in size and it packs with Android 8.0 Oreo Based EMUI 8.0. Which packs with Picture in Picture mode, auto fill, notification channels, new revamped settings app, new notification center and several others. Along with these features there are some performance improvements. The update is also packs with the latest Android security patch i.e. January security patch.

As this is an OTA update it will take some time to reach each and every user. However, you can also check the update manually by going through the settings>>about phone>> software updates.

Note: As it is a large update connect to WiFi network before downloading the update. Moreover, charge your phone upto at least 50% before installing the update.
