The Redmi Note 7 smartphone is the successor to the Redmi Note 6. The device comes with Snapdragon 660 Soc coupled with 3/4/6GB of RAM. You get onboard storage of 32/64/128 GB as well. Talking about the camera specifications, the device features a dual camera setup with a primary 48 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2″ sensor and a 5 MP, f/2.2, secondary depth sensor. The device comes in a premium design with Blue, Black, and Twilight Gold color options.
Xiaomi Redmi Note series is popular amongst developers as well and that is the reason these devices enjoy a rich collection of Custom Roms and other cool mods. To flash these mods and Custom Roms, you first need to Root your Redmi Note 7 device. Follow the instruction below to root.
Requirements
- Make Sure you have an unlocked bootloader.
- Go to developer options on your Redmi Note 7 and enable USB Debugging
- Download and Install Minimal Adb and Fastboot tools on your PC.
- Download TWRP recovery for Redmi Note 7 and rename it to twrp.img and copy it to the same folder as your ADB and Fastboot tools are in.
- Download the latest Magisk ZiP file. (Copy it to phone’s internal storage)
How to Root the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7
Step 1 – Boot the Redmi Note 7 in Fastboot Mode and connect it to your PC with the help of a USB cable.
Step 2 – Now open a Command Prompt Window or the Windows PowerShell in the same folder as your ADB and Fastboot tools (make sure the twrp.img file is in this folder).
Step 3 –  Now type the given below command and press Enter.
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Step 4 – Wait for the Fastboot to copy and install the image file to your device’s recovery partition.
Step 5 – Now unplug the device from the PC.
Step 6 – Now Press and hold both the Power and Volume Up buttons together at the same time to boot your device in Recovery mode.Â
Step 7 – Continue pressing the volume up button, but stop pressing the power button when the device vibrates.
Step 8 – Now let go of the Volume Up button when you see the blue TWRP splash screen ( The device might boot once or twice automatically, don’t worry)
Step 9 – If your TWRP is in the Chinese language, Scroll down below to see how to change it to the English language.
Step 10 – Now Tap the Install button and navigate to the Magisk ZIP file that you downloaded earlier.
Step 11 – Now Swipe to install it and wait for the process to complete.
Step 12 – Reboot your Redmi Note 7.
Voila! You have now successfully rooted your Redmi Note 7.

How to Change TWRP Language from Chinese to English
Step 1. Enter the main menu by swiping the slider to the right.
Step 2. Tap on the 6th Button.
Step 3. Now tap on the globe icon.
Step 4. Choose the English option.
