We aren’t sure of this, but if reports are to be believed, HTC is readying a real successor to its Butterfly aka Droid DNA smartphone. Yes, you might think we are wrong and it already has a successor, the Butterfly S. But, it is not. The next device, if it comes, will be branded in the name of Butterfly II reports ePrice.
It is also noted that the device will go live in early-next year, probably by before-March.
According to ePrice’s sources, the successor device will be launched around Taiwan’s Lunar New Year, which is in the end of January 2014. Well, we might see some major upgrades to the device such as a bigger screen and maybe running Sense 5.5 or Sense 6. The specifications remains unclear.
As far as the current markets are concerned, the device may get a 5.2′ inch display along Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, and water/ dust resistance, which is on rise these days.
Except these, we still aren’t sured of anything else. Be it Camera or storage or Ram, all things remain unclear. As far and possible availability is concerned, it will most likely be released only in Asian markets unless HTC decides to go for a Droid DNA II.
To remind you, the company is running on losses, with the only great device which is HTC One, HTC are helplessly dependent on it.
There is very little information of this device in the web, but we might see some of epic leaks in the near future. We might see some great leaks by our Asian friends too!
