It seems that HTC is targeting Asian market and too a middle man by launching mid range devices there. Today, HTC Desire 616 made its way to the Asian market with decent specs on board. It was launched in China last week and now its available in other countries along with availability in Russia.
HTC Desire 616 consists a 5 inch 720p display, it packs a MediaTek’s eight core processor, which is clocked at 1.4 GHz. Other hardware specs include 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal memory, microSD card support for an additional 32GB of memory, an 8 megapixel rear facing camera which can record 1080p video, and a 2 megapixel front facing camera.
Desire 616 feature Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and 3G. Available in White and Black colour variants, the smartphone is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
earlier Smasung was only producing high end phones which were unable to get their market in the developing nations. Now, HTC is focusing on to reduce manufacturing costs to produce affordable devices for developing nations in Asia.
Also, HTC One E8 will soon come to India.
