HTC One A9 features an all-metal unibody design, similar to what we’ve seen in past HTC phones like the One M9, M8 or M7. The HTC One A9 is built around a 5″ AMOLED screen of 1080p resolution and is the first to run on the Snapdragon 617 chip. The SoC employs an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5GHz and another four A53 ticking at 1.2GHz, Adreno 405 GPU and 2 or 3 GB of RAM depending on the version.

The 2GB of RAM model comes with 16GB of on-board storage, while the 3GB of RAM variant comes with 32GB of internal memory. Both variants also come with microSD expansion up to 2TB (2,000 gigabytes).

There are a few color choices available with this device as well, including a lighter silver color, and one that is called deep garnet, a dark red color that looks really good.

HTC is also releasing an unlocked version on HTC.com as a SIM unlocked phone, with an unlockable bootloader (warranty stays when unlocked too), that will work on AT&T and T-Mobile. It will be up for pre-order today on HTC’s website and will ship November 6.

During a promotional period, the One A9 will be available starting at $399.
