As Promised HTC is going to launch U Ultra with a Sapphire glass on 28th March. The phone will be first released in Taiwan on 28th March and Sapphire glass will be used in 128 GB variant of HTC U Ultra, Whereas in 64 GB Variant Gorilla Glass 5 will be used.
HTC U Ultra with Sapphire Glass 128 GB variant will be priced NTD 28,900, $945/€880. 64 GB variant with regular Gorilla Glass 5 cost NTD 23,900, $780/€730. However, There is not any information when the phone comes wo other countries.
Sapphire glass is very durable it is immensely scratch resistant in a way that no other comparable material. On the Hardness scale only Diamond is tougher than sapphire. So it will be very useful to have it on our phone’s display. Companies are using Sapphire glass as camera glasses and Touch ID home button. Moreover,when we compare Sapphire glass with Grollia Glass, Sapphire is 4 times better.
