Just couple of hours after it’s exposed via leaked press renders, the mid-range HTC U11 EYEs is now announced. The dual-front camera flaunting device carries a price tag of NT$14,900 ($505) and its pre-order has begun in certain countries. The official launch of the device is set to happen on February 9, when the pre-ordered units will be available on select markets.
Coming to the HTC U11 EYEs specifications, there is nothing new other than that we’ve seen in the renders. Qualcomm’s mid-range Mobile Platform, the Snapdragon 652 lies at the heart of this device. A 5.99 inch display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio is sandwiched between upper and lower bezels. Storage includes 64 GB coupled by 4GB RAM. Facility for expanding the internal storage via microSD card slot is also included.
Dual Front Camera is the main USP of the device. HTC calls the front camera as “EYEs” since the Face Unlock bio-metric authentication works with the help of them. Physically, both of the sensors are of 5 MP each with f/2.2 aperture. On the back side, it rocks a 12 MP Ultra Pixel OIS camera of f/1.7 aperture, capable of shooting slow-mo 1080p videos at 120 fps.
Moreover, the U11 EYEs supports HTC’s marquee feature, the Edge Sense. IP67 dust and water resistance certification enhances the value of device. Connectivity includes, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and USB-C(2.0) port. A massive 3,930mAh battery keeps the light-on of the phone. Consumers will have three color options of the HTC U11 EYEs to choose from – Red, Silver Blue and Black.
