HTC is slow when it comes to launching new devices and even in providing the necessary software updates. The brand these days is also facing hard times as similar to Sony their sales are declining in the smartphone market. Their recent flagship in the market was HTC U12+ and if you own this handset then today we are having a good news for you. As per some sources, the device is receiving a new update which brings a number of useful changes to the handset. So without wasting any time let’s know more about it.
After its launch, it may be the first major update which brings some noticeable changes. The update is arriving with the version number 1.21.709.3 and is arriving as an OTA. The update weighs at 422MB’s and it doesn’t affect the Android version of the device at all. This update brings June 2018 security patch to the device. In the Camera department, AutoZoom functionality is enabled now. Along with these changes, some other improvements related to its Edge Sense technology have also introduced.
As reported by HTC users after installing the update the pressure sensitive edges now feel more responsive and active. HTC has tweaked their Edge Sense technology to work with more accuracy.
No other change has been noticed yet and do note that this update will not gonna bump up the Android version. At present it is being released to the devices in Taiwan, however, we are expecting it to soon arrive in other countries as well.
