Install LineageOS 15.1 on Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Instructions
Pre-requisites:
1.) You need a rooted Mi Max 2 whose Bootloader should be unlocked.
2.) For flashing the LineageOS 15.1 we will suggest you using a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM.
3.) Your device should have enough charge remaining(60-70%).
4.) Backup all your data.
Steps to Install Android 8.1 Oreo (LineageOS 15.1) on Xiaomi Mi Max 2
1.) First, download the unofficial LineageOS file and Gapps file from the below-given link and place it somewhere on your device.
2.) Now switch off your device and boot into recovery mode by holding Power button+Vol up button.
3.) After entering the TWRP menu, here click on the Install option and locate the LineageOS file present in your device, Swipe to confirm flash.
4.) As it finishes the flashing process, press the Install option and this time select the Open Gapps file present on your device, Swipe to confirm flash.
5.) Now reboot your device and your device is now running the LineageOS 15.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
