The popular root access tool for Android, Magisk has been now updated to a new beta version. With the support for Android Q root, and other new capabilities, the latest Magisk 19.0 beta is a significant upgrade to the Magisk base. As of the Magisk Manager, it’s being updated to v7.1 from the previous Magisk Manager 7.0.
Topjohnwu was able to gain root access on the latest Android Q beta a little while ago. However, it’s possible only on the Canary builds which are more or less unstable and buggy. But, this time the dev succeeded to bring the Android Q support on beta build so that average consumer can use it without major issues.
Moreover, there are quite handful of new improvements within the latest beta release. The return of native support for 64-bit systems, a new module management called Imageless Magisk and above all a new Magisk Module installer to name some. Something which is removed for good reason is the usage of Magisk.img.
