The new admin controls enable only admins to send messages in the group. Thus, groups can be now protected from spams if it is meant only for information or other important purposes. This features can be turned on by admin from Group Info -> Group Settings -> Send Messages -> Only Admins. Also, admins now gain rights to decide who can change the description, subject, and the icon of the group. They can even remove admin status from others.
Further, the new update also brings catch up feature which will help users read the tagged messages and replies easily. A new @ button will float in the bottom right corner. Lastly, group members can now easily search other participants from Group Info.
