LeEco is working on Android 7.1 update for Le 2, Pro 3, Max 2 and S3 with EUI 6.0

Here’s a good news coming in for LeEco users. A report suggests that the company is currently working on a new update for its series of devices. The update referred here, is none other than Android 7.1 Nougat, which is being tested for LeEco Le 2, Pro 3, Max 2 and S3. However, the company itself did not announce the testing phase officially, it has been reported based on the screenshot below.

Since the company has already started working on the update and it is already in testing, there are high chances that the update will be rolled out in the months to come. It seems to be an exciting news for LeEco users out there. The Android 7.1 update on these devices will have the company’s own EUI 6.0 skin on the top.

Android 7.1 Nougat update is an incremental update of Android 7.0 and brings along some amazing and useful features like App Shortcuts, Multi Window support, Quick Reply via Notification, Notification Redesigned panel, Improved Doze Mode, New Emoji support and so on.

If you are using any of the LeEco devices stated above, you now have a reason to rejoice the upcoming sweet update.

    • I have the max 2 and the camera is a bit weak in dynamic range, but on the other hand I find surprising detail in some areas.

        • With Nougat maybe you’ll be able to use HDR+ port from the Google Pixel. In my LeEco Le Pro 3 adds a lot of dynamic range to the photos, which now looks stunning.

          • With a custom ROM. I’ve tested Paranoid and Resurrection Remix and both perform fine.

          • None of them has the battery life that the stock ROM has, but I’ve never had problems reaching the end of the day without charging the phone.
            PS: in Spanish there is a very active Telegram group of Le Pro 3 owners.
