LG Optimus Vu
is now available in South Korea for $895, For that price you get a 5-inch display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and Android 2.3. Expensive for something not all that special, but that’s just the way that LG
is working it in South Korea. The phone is also slated to be coming to Europe and the US, but we’d expect that it will need the price to drop to be successful. It’d also need to feature some carrier support and subsidies.
The handset is only 8.5mm thin, but at the same time it’s 90mm wide, so it can feel uncomfortable when held in one hand (however, this depends on each user’s preferences). LG has struggled in the smartphone game for quite some time and it remains to be seen whether or not their latest round of devices will inspire people to buy them.
