T-Mobile is rolling out LMY48M, LYZ28K and LMY48P updates to respective Nexus devices. All nexus devices are receiving LMY48M, while Nexus 6 will get its own special build of LYZ28K, and the Nexus 7 will get LMY48P.
As per the details these updates are meant for security purposes , it includes security patches for Nexus devices. Update changelog specifies “Android Security enhancements” along with the general bug fix. May be these are the carrier specific updates. Hope Sprint will soon rollout these updates to Nexus devies locked to their network in next 24-48 hours.

If these updates are not carrier oriented then we can expect them on unlocked Nexus devices also.
