MediaTek To Introduce 64 Bit LTE Quad And Octa Core Processors at MWC 2014

As according to the Digitimes, Mediatek is going to introduce 64 bit LTE compatible Quad and Octa Core processors. They are named as the quad-core MT6372 and the eight-core MT6752.

These two processors are used in standard Cortex-A53 architecture is based on 64 AMRv8 standard 64-bit ARM instruction set processors. According to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report,  the quad-core MT6372 will compete with Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 410 in the entry and mid-range LTE phone segments.

These MediaTek processors will get available in market at the end this year or in the third quarter or the last quarter of 2014. The Cortex A53 processor is an extremely power efficient ARMv8 processor capable of supporting 32-bit and 64-bit code seamlessly.
